DAMYARANARAK
Albendazole bolus 600 mg
For veterinary use only.
Category: Broad spectrum Anthelmintic (Benzimidazoles).
Form: Oral bolus.
Compound: Each bolus contains 600 mg Albendazole.
Target Animal: Cattle and calf.
Mode of Action: By controlling fumarate reductase enzyme, Albendazole prevents the reduction of fumarate to succinate in mitochondria. Therefore, no energy will be produced and the parasite dies due to muscular paralysis.
Pharmacokinetic: The absorption of this medicine via oral administration is small and erratic. Some quantity of this medicine is absorbed via intestine and reaches its maximum capacity in plasma, 3-6 hours after treatment. It seems that the intestinal absorption of Albendazole is larger than the rest of Benzimidazoles and 47% of the administered dose will be excreted in 9 days via urination.
Indication: Damyabendazole is effective on egg, larva, arrested larva and mature nematodes in respiratory and digestive system (Dictyocaulus, Heamonchus, Cooperia, Trichostrongylus and Ostertagia), gastrointestinal cestoda such as Moniezia and liver trematodes like Fasciola in ruminants.
