DAMYARANARAK

Damyaclazole ® 250

Triclabendazole 250 mg
For veterinary use only.
Category: Anthelmintic (Benzimidazoles group).
Form: Oral bolus.
Compound: Each bolus contains 250 mg Triclabendazole.
Target Animal: Cattle, sheep and goat.
Mode of Action: By controlling fumarate reductase enzyme activity, Triclabendazole prevents recreation and conversion of fumarate to succinate in mitochondria. Therefore, no energy will be produced and the parasite dies due to muscular paralysis.
Pharmacokinetic: Once administered orally, Triclabendazole quickly metabolizes and gets converted to Sulfoxide sulfone derivatives. Its maximum plasma concentration is visible after 12-36 hours. With a suitable ratio, Triclabendazole derivatives will bond with Albumin and its quality can be measured up to 7 days. Derivatives’ bond with Albumin plasma will extend the time of drug’s interaction and effectiveness upon parasite. Usually, drug’s excretion takes place via bile (Approximately 50%) and urination (6.5%).
Indication: Triclabendazole is used to control and cure contamination created from Fascioliasis (fluke) in ruminants.
Dosage and Administration: Triclabendazole can be administered orally either directly, with help of bolus feeding device or by using bolus grinder along with a small portion of food and water.
Cattle: 2 boluses of 250 mg per 40 kg bodyweight (12 mg/ kg).
Sheep and goat: A bolus of 250 mg per 25 kg bodyweight (10 mg/ kg).
Contraindication: Not to be used up to 7 days after cattle’s labour.
Withdrawal Time:

  • Meat: 28 days.
