Form: Oral solution.
Compound: Each ml of solution contains 100 mg Florfenicol.
Target Animal: Broiler.
Mode of Action: Florfenicol is a broad- spectrum antibiotic in which its anti-bacterial characteristic resembles Chloramphenicol. This antibiotic has bactericidal effect which allows it to bond with 50S ribosomal subunit. By disrupting Peptidyl transferase, Florfenicol blocks bacteria’s protein synthesis.
Indication: Damyaflocol can be used to treat poultry’s respiratory infections created from gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Those bacteria sensitive to this antibiotic include Clostridium species, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Streptococci, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Corynebacterium pyogenes and Staphylococci.
Dosage and Administration: Advisable dose is 20 mg per kg bodyweight. Also, you can add 1 L of solution to 1000 L of poultry’s drinking water and continue the treatment for 5 consecutive days. The water containing the medicine must be fully consumed within a day.
Contraindication: Not to be consumed for layers in which their egg will be used by humans.
Drug Interaction: This medicine shouldn’t be consumed concurrently with other antibiotics.
Withdrawal Time: Consumption of the medicine must be terminated 10 days prior to slaughtering.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. The color of the solution varies from light yellow to a dark yellow. The color doesn’t affect drug’s performance.
Preservation: keep in a dry place, at room temperature (below 30ºC) away from light.
Packing: 120 and 1000 ml Polyethylene bottles.
