Form: Oral solution
Target animal: Broiler and breeder.
Compound: Each ml of the medicine contains 100 mg Enrofloxacin.
Mode of Action: Enrofloxacin blocks DNA gyrase enzyme. This process disrupts DNA replication and consequently ruptures DNA’s entire appearance. This medicine has bactericide effect and can quickly be absorbed by body tissues; subsequently, blood concentration reaches its maximum level after 1 to 3 hours.
Indication: Enroquine® affects a broad range of gram-negative, aerobic gram-positive bacteria; effective against most pathogenic bacteria in intestine. Also, it’s very effective against Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Spp.
Dosage and Administration: This medicine is consumed via drinking water. Enrofloxacine’s basic dosage is 10 mg per kg body weight. Add 50 ml of the solution into 100 L of drinking water. Normal treatment period is 3 consecutive days and in cases of salmonellosis or other types of chronic diseases it will take 5 consecutive days.
Contraindication: This medicine should not be consumed for anaerobic gram-positive infections such as the streptococcus ones. Also prohibited in cases of resistance to quinolones or fluoroquinolones.
Drug interaction: Due to its antagonistic effect, this medicine should not be consumed along with Chloramphenicol, Macrolides or Tetracyclines.
Side effects: Unknown
Withdrawal time: 11 days for turkey meat, 9 days for chicken meat and 9 days for eggs.
Cautions: Keep out of reach of children.
Preservation: Store in a dry place, at room temperature (below 30ºC) and away from light.
Packing: 120 and 1000 ml polyethylene bottles.
