Eucalyptosol ® 10%

Eucalyptus oil, Mint oil, L-menthol and Thyme oil Brochure
Herbal oral solution
For veterinary use only
Category: Bronchodilator, expectorant.
Form: Oral solution.
Compound: Each liter of oral solution contains 285 g mixture of natural essential oils including Eucalyptus oil, mint oil, L-menthol and Thyme oil.
Target animal: Poultry.
Indication: Prevents and treats respiratory problems and respiratory complications created from vaccination, prevents bird’s asphyxia due to mucus concentration in respiratory system, reduces digestive system’s infections, enhances conversion factor’s efficiency, reduces heat stress side effects and other environmental stresses.
Mode of action: Eucalyptus oil and menthol reduce congestion and thin mucus in the respiratory tract in conditions of respiratory involvement, thereby improving oxygen intake, energy metabolism, and food intake. In addition to its antimicrobial effects, eucalyptus oil also acts as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Menthol, in addition to its expectorant, antitussive, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, improves the bird’s appetite and weight gain, especially in disease conditions. Thyme oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, as well as being spasmolytic and antitussive, and has an inhibitory effect on smooth muscle spasms (respiratory and digestive systems), which seems to be related to its antagonistic properties with calcium channels.
Pharmacokinetics: Research shows that plasma concentrations of 1,8-cineole increase rapidly when used in sprays and mists, and that plasma levels also increase following use in drinking water. Although the upper gastrointestinal tract does not play a role in the absorption of 1,8-cineole. The highest plasma concentrations are observed as a result of simultaneous oral and spray use. L-menthol is also absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and upper respiratory tract. The compounds in thyme oil disrupt the function of microorganisms (such as E-Coli, Salmonella typhimurium, salmonella enterica, Staph. Aureus) by increasing the permeability of the cell wall and also disrupt the absorption of nutrients by microorganisms and the synthesis of DNA, RNA and important cellular proteins, causing their death.
