Compound: Each kg contains 120 g Salinomycin sodium.
Target Animal: Broiler and pullets that can be a substitute for layers.
Indication: Salicox ^® is used to control and prevent Coccidiosis created from Eimeria acervulina, E.maxima, E.necatrix, E.mivati, E.tanella, and E.brunetti in broilers for the entire breeding period and for replacement layer pullets up to 16 weeks of age.
Mode of Action: Salicox ^® is an Ionophore coccidiostats that acts as cations’ transporter when it creates dissolvable complex in fat with Sodium and Potassium univalent cations, permeating parasite’s cell membrane against Sodium and Potassium ions. This process will imbalance parasite’s cell membrane ions, disrupting parasite’s metabolism.
Salicox ^® has a lethal effect upon Sporozoites and Merozoites coccidia reproduction stages, blocks Schizontes development and lastly minimizes tissue damage in intestine.
Pharmacokinetic: This medicine distributes widely and promptly throughout body tissues once it’s administered orally. The Ionophore anti-coccidia bioavailability varies between a range of less than 30% to more than 75%. Its metabolism is broad and its excretion happens quickly.
Dosage and Administration:
Broiler: Add 500 g Salicox ^® to 1 ton of feed and mix it very well.
Layer pullets: Add 350-500 g Salicox ^® to 1 ton of feed and mix it very well. Drug must be consumed by week 16^th and 7 days before laying process.
To obtain a uniform mixture, first mix the required quantity with 20-50 kg of feed and add the mixture to the main feed volume and mix it again.
Contraindication: Horse and the rest of odd-toed ungulates must not access rations that contain Salinomycin. Consumption of Salinomycin in horse can be fatal.
Drug Interaction: This medicine shouldn’t be used concurrently with Tiamulin because it may reduce growth process. The minimum time interval between Salinomycin consumption with Tiamulin must be 7 days. Also this drug should not be consumed concurrently with the rest of Coccidiostats.
Withdrawal Time: Exclude the medicine from feed ration 5 days prior to slaughtering.
Cautions:  This medicine must be kept out of reach of children. Make sure that Salinomycin is mixed completely and evenly with feed. While working with the product, make sure that you wear protective clothing, gloves and anti-dust mask. Wash your hands completely after transportation and mixing process. In an eye contact incident with the product, wash your eyes with plenty of water. Close the container cap very well after consumption.

Preservation: Keep in a dry place, at room temperature (below 30°C) and away from light.
